Therapeutic Gardens
The Bob and Dudie Kieckhefer Strolling Garden at The Margaret T. Morris Center is a nationally recognized example of a safe, therapeutic garden for people with memory loss. Through gifts and community support, this award-winning garden meets the sensory needs of our residents through a variety of unique features and areas.
In the spring, summer and fall this Certified Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation is the hub of general activities and our specialized Horticultural Therapy program.
The garden at The Margaret T. Morris Center is a place for families inspiring renewed hope, peace of mind and special moments when visiting with loved ones. A few of our special features include:

The fully-secured garden area features heirloom apple & plum trees, walking paths and sitting areas.
Weather permitting, activity and resident assistants conduct daily walks with the residents, and a patio awaits those who just want to sit and enjoy Prescott’s fresh mountain air.
Pam Catlin, our Certified Horticultural Therapist is recognized in the Horticultural Therapy community for her years of experience in the field. Authoring chapters in two textbooks and being on faculty with the Horticultural Therapy Institute in Denver, Colorado, Pam broadens the exposure of our Horticultural Therapy program. Individuals come from all over the nation to visit the garden because of its reputation as a model therapeutic garden.
