Why We are Unique
- We are the only residential assisted living community in Northern Arizona that is dedicated solely to dementia care. As the specialists, we know best how to improve “quality of life” for a person with loss in cognitive ability.
- We have a full-time RN on staff to ensure that our residents’ health and wellness is closely monitored.
- Our Medical Director, Dr. Candace Reid, DO, is on-site twice a week to closely monitor the residents. You are also welcome to choose to keep your own physician or to select a new one.
- We are a Person Centered Care community and we believe that every person in our care has a right to enjoy the best possible “quality of life” no matter what level of dementia he/she reaches.
- The Margaret T. Morris Center is CARF accredited which is the highest accreditation that an assisted living community can receive with standards that are much higher than the state’s requirements. We are the only assisted living community in Northern Arizona to hold this accreditation status and we are the only memory care community in the state to hold accreditation status. Please visit CARF's website for more information on CARF accreditation.
- We have a full-time Licensed Social Worker who provides counseling and support groups for family members of our residents.
- Our building is 25,000 square feet and residents are free to ambulate throughout the building as opposed to living in a lock-down hallway of rooms.
- The building is divided into four neighborhoods and we group our residents together according to their level of dementia to help them socialize better.
- Our Certified Horticultural Therapist leads a plant and gardening program to improve the physical and mental health of our residents.
- An activities program that tops all the rest! Our stimulating activities occur daily and they are specially tailored to empower a person experiencing memory loss.
